I’ve been trying to lose weight, and already lost 10 pounds. However, nearly all of my weight is in my stomach area. The ten pounds effected my stomach area a LITTLE, but not significantly. So I need to do something else to target that area. Is crunches the best “natural” way to do this? (No diet pills or drugs…)

it’s strange how when you tell people to train their biceps with curls they say “no, i don’t want them to get bigger”, but when they ask about abs they say “will crunches make my stomach smaller?”…
the answer is simply, no! … crunches only develop your abdominal muscles. they do not burn fat from a specific area. burning fat is a function of diet and training. you cannot choose where you want to burn fat, your body does.

No it is cardio. All you need to do is get ur fat% low enough and that happens by doing cardio. Try running which is weight baring and very good as it also includes your core. Only do crunches 3 times a week 3 sets of 15 but progress though. Try holding dumbbells in the air and make them heavier and heavier. But don’t base it on crunches because it will at the end only make you look bigger as you will build muscle underneath the fat but it won’t make the fat go away.
Their is no such thing as an exercise that makes you lose weight in a specific area. Crunches will help you lose “some” in general but will mainly help you grow muscles in the stomach area.
To lose weight just to aerobic exercises such as walking, biking, swimming, running, etc.

yes crunches work the best for the stomach area. bicycle crunches really helped my stomach or you can lay on your back stretch your arms and legs out and pull them in at the same time try to make your toes touch your fingers trust me it works i have 3 kids all by c-section and that was my main problem area the jillian micheals movie 30 day shred is awesome for losing weight the natural way. it’s a 20 min work out and you could lose up to 20 pounds in 30 days and not gain it back! like i said i have 3 kids and i managed to lose 5 pounds the first week. good luck
