But some diets say they will help you lose belly fat first. Do these diets really work for that?

  1. Everything that I have read or experienced says that you cannot choose where the fat is lost on your body. However, there are toning exercises that would help the abdomin to firm up, and turn the fat into muscle. You need to drink looootttsssss of water though.

  2. Do these diets really work for that? nope..it’s physiologically impossible to spot reduce body fat through diet or exercise. any diet that claims such is bogus.

the best and easiest diet to follow is a general high protein low GI diet. reducing body fat is all about controlling the storage hormone insulin.

toning is the same exact thing as reducing body fat. you can’t tone muscle it’s always that way. subcutaneous fat stores cover the true shape of skeletal muscle. everyone on the planet has a 6-pack but you need to have low body fat to see the entire abdominal wall with out flexing. the human body stores fat first in the mid-section as it effects mobility the least. it is also the last place where fat is release from, especially the lower portion of the rectus abdominis. to get a 6-pack males must have close to 10% body fat and females close to 20%.
