Question by candyzaqt: Best “diet” for someone who suffers from IBS?
I suffer from IBS and I feel that’s why I have alot of weight issues. I am 36 and have had three children, but it just seems like my weight keeps climbing. I’ve tried adding fiber to my diet as the doctor suggested but that doesn’t always work. I’ve been using a product called Dr. Natura as a natural colon cleansing system which has provided me with some interesting results. I have so far lost 9.5 lbs. in a two week period. Not bad but this product is expensive and I don’t want to have to use something forever. I also don’t know how safe it is to continue to use a product like this. (It’s a three part system, which includes capsules you take to kill the parasites, a powder you mix in juice (the fiber part), and a detoxifier tea).

  1. I would suggest you eat more whole wheat bread and less white bread. The whole wheat bread has more fiber in it, and this is good for regularity. And drink more black tea, or green tea, as that has antoxidents. I hope this helps

  2. Try some diets on this site

  3. Kelloggs Special K challenge! I always suggest this! it works and it tastes so good! My favorite is Almond Vanilla =) Good luck! Just remeber to eat lots of fruit and veges, and water, you WILL see results!

  4. See this site under diet. Basically sugar in junk foods is very bad for colon. Also fiber is only for keeping colon clean and healthy. All plant foods have plenty of fiber unless it has been taken out. They take it out with wheat and white rice so avoid these. Whole wheat and brown rice are whole grains– not taken out. All animal foods have no fiber at all so it has bad effect on colon.

Especially good for colon is carrots, cabbage and celery. The greens provide chlorophyll which cleans and eals the colon. Buy a greens drink. There are lots of them. Contains lots of chlorophyll from spirulina, wheat grass, barley grass and they taste good mixed in water and juice together.
